On Tuesday, April 17th, 2018, Dr. Kelly Walker Moore, member of the Powerful Pi Mu Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., served as Presenter for the monthly AACT-NOW meeting of NAMI-NJ in Willingboro, NJ. Dr. Moore presented on the topics, “Dealing with the Trauma of Having a Family Member with Mental Health Concerns.” This was an informative and interactive discussion about how to cope with the stress of being a caregiver while preserving your mental health and overall wellness. Organizations like NAMI continue to work to reduce the stigma of mental illness and the loved ones that serve as caregivers. Thank you to Mrs. Winifred Chain for inviting Dr. Moore!
