Welcome Message

Greetings and welcome to the website of the Powerful Pi Mu Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®! Based in Willingboro, New Jersey and serving the Burlington County community since 1986, we are a thriving chapter with a heart for the community through our sisterhood.

As the President, I invite you to explore our website to gain more insight into the extensive work we do for the residents of Burlington County. Since 1908, members of Alpha Kappa Alpha have been at the forefront of service on the local, national, and international levels. In 2018, under the direction of our International President Dr. Glenda Glover, the sorority’s programatic thrust entitled “Exemplifying Excellence Through Sustainable Service” was launched with a signature program entitled #CAP. Our Sorority’s primary efforts will focus on the areas of HBCU for Life: A Call to Action, Women’s Healthcare and Wellness, Building Your Economic Legacy, The Arts!, and Global Impact. We, the members of the Powerful Pi Mu Omega will continue to work tirelessly in all of these areas to implement the service initiatives that not only support the international goals, but enhance the quality of life in the Willingboro community.

“With excellence as our guide and sustainable service as our focus, the 2018-2022 international program agenda provides opportunities for our 300,000 members, operating in more than 1,000 chapters, to meet the needs of the communities we serve”- Dr. Glenda Glover. We welcome you as we continue to provide “Service to all Mankind” during this, our 34th year of chapter service!

We welcome members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® who are new to the South Jersey area or just want to visit our chapter; invite you to join us at our General Body Meetings on the third Monday of each month, excluding June, July, & November.

Warmest Regards,
Lonniece Senior, President

The ladies of Pi Mu Omega would like to send our condolences to Soror Joylette and Soror Laurie @lchnails for the loss of their mother and grandmother. Soror Katherine was a trailblazing woman that inspired so many other women in a number of ways! She had such an invaluable impact on the world and we were blessed to have had her. God finally called his angel back home. Rest In Peace, Soror Katherine 🙏🏾💗💚.

Pi Mu Omega chapter mourns the passing of our beloved Soror, Dr. Katherine Johnson. "Soror Johnson was part of NASA's "Computer Pool," a group of mathematicians whose data powered NASA's first successful space missions. The group's success largely hinged on the accomplishments of its black women members. Her work went largely unrecognized until the release of 2017's "Hidden Figures," a film portrayal of Johnson's accomplishments while the space agency was still largely segregated".- CNN

We send our love and support to her family, who our chapter considers family.

We love you and loved her. May the world continue to cherish the legacy she has left! God Bless
